White Almond Sour Cream Cake
This is an amazingly easy, very scrumptious cake - excellent for large gatherings.

The recipe can be easily halved.
- 2 boxes white cake mix
- 2 cps all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 8 egg whites
- 2 2/3 cup water
- 4 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cups (16 oz carton) sour cream
- 2 tsp clear vanilla extract
- 2 tsp almond extract
- Preheat oven to 325F.
- Grease and flour cake pans of your choice. Shake off excess flour.
- Mix all dry ingredients by hand using a whisk in a very large mixing bowl.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and beat on low speed with an electric mixer for 2 minutes.
- Pour into prepared pans. Rap lightly on the counter once to release any air bubbles.
- Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool 10 minutes, before loosening edges with a thin, sharp knife and turning out onto racks to completely cool.
- Beautiful with strawberries and whipped cream.
