Riot-Causing, Family-Feuding Arrowroot Squares
- 29 arrowroot cookies (crushed into ½" pieces)
- ½ cup butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 Tbsp cocoa
- 4 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Melt the butter, cocoa and brown sugar in a double boiler. Add the two beaten eggs and stir until slightly thickened, then add the crushed arrowroots.
- Remove from heat. Add vanilla and chopped nuts.
- Press into an 8"x8" cake pan, lined with waxed paper.
- Chill and ice with vanilla icing.
