Japanese Chicken Wings
(Serves 6-8)

  • 3 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 beaten large egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup butter

For the Sauce:

  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Mrs. Dash (optional)
  1. Cut tips off wings, and then cut wings in half. Dip in slightly beaten egg, and then in flour.
  2. Fry in butter until deep brown and crisp.
  3. Place in a shallow roasting pan, lined in foil.
  4. Mix together ingredients for sauce in a medium bowl, then pour sauce over wings.
  5. Bake at 350F for ½ hour. Spoon sauce over wings during baking.
