Chicken
Japanese Chicken Wings
(Serves 6-8)
- 3 lbs chicken wings
- 1 beaten large egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup butter
For the Sauce:
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp water
- 1 cup white sugar
- ½ cup vinegar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp Mrs. Dash (optional)
- Cut tips off wings, and then cut wings in half. Dip in slightly beaten egg, and then in flour.
- Fry in butter until deep brown and crisp.
- Place in a shallow roasting pan, lined in foil.
- Mix together ingredients for sauce in a medium bowl, then pour sauce over wings.
- Bake at 350F for ½ hour. Spoon sauce over wings during baking.
